In addition, Child Safeguard provides legal, training, and audit advice to organisations to build a Child Safe Organisation and implement Best Practice in Child Safety.

Therefore, this partnership will give Swim Schools access to training tools, modules, and templates to ensure they implement best practices and comply with the 10 Child Safe Standards. In addition you can learn more about Child Safeguard and our partnerships here.
What are the Child Safe Standards?
The Royal Commission inquiry into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse was from 2013 – 2017. In other words, The Royal Commission carried out case studies and public hearings into various organisations to examine how they responded to child abuse incidents.
So, one of the Royal Commission’s key recommendations was that all child-related organisations should implement the Child Safe Standards.
These standards are the 10 critical elements that are necessary to create a safer environment for children and young people. For example, a Child Safe Organisation implements the 10 Child Safe Standards.
Swim Schools in Australia should now be implementing the Child Safe Standards to:
- ensure that they are complying with child protection legal reforms
- prepare for upcoming Government regulation.
